Massage Therapy

As I work the superficial and deeper layers of muscle and connective tissue, the client has the opportunity to relax and experience a state of well-being.

I treat my clients while they are lying on a massage table or sitting in a chair. The client may be fully or partly unclothed and is always covered.

There are many benefits to massage.  People use massage for a variety of health-related purposes.  Massage can:

  • relieve pain
  • reduce stress
  • increase relaxation
  • address anxiety and depression
  • aid in general wellness

Studies suggest that a single session of massage therapy can:

  • increase circulation
  • reduce “state anxiety” (a reaction to a particular situation)
  • reduce blood pressure and heart rate.
